Interesting. Dumezil was married, and the last time I heard from him before his death, he was attending his wife who had had to be hospitalized. That was why I could not meet him, even though I had gone to Paris especially for the purpose. In effect, you are saying that Dumezil was gay because he had male friends. I have nothing against his being - as he would probably put it - in the brotherhood of Plato and Virgil, but is that the best you can do to prove it? I suppose that Tolkien, CS Lewis and Charles Williams were gay, too?
